There’s nothing like fall, especially when it’s filled with simple joys like apples! Today, Carter is home from school, staying warm and dry as Hurricane Helene passes through. We’re making the most of this cozy day by washing apples together—one of those sweet, simple activities that keep us connected. 🍂

We’re looking forward to apple picking soon in the beautiful #blueridgemountains but for now, we’re enjoying these little moments indoors. I look for ways to make chores a fun thing to do together.

Fall is the perfect time to slow down and enjoy cozy activities with your little ones! Whether it’s baking treats, crafting with colorful leaves, or exploring nature on a rainy day walk, there are endless ways to make memories together. One of our favorites? Cooking and baking vegan treats. 🙌🏽🙏🏽

Carter and I have been cooking, juicing and baking together since he was just a baby, not even a year old. It’s messy, it takes time, and it’s not always perfect, but it’s one of our most cherished moments together. He remembers those times fondly, and honestly, so do I. There’s nothing like creating something delicious (or just delightfully messy) side by side. 👩🏽👦🏽

P.S. Teaching these skills is a gift that lasts a lifetime—especially for kids.
